I am applying for the Cloud Administrator position at Facepunch Studios. I have followed Facepunch for a long time, from Garry's Mod to Rust and now s&box. I have spent the last 17+ years working in infrastructure, network engineering, and systems administration across cloud, ISP, and high-availability environments. Here is how my day-to-day experience connects directly with what you are looking for:

1. Hands-on Rust Server DevOps & CI/CD:
   I do not just play your games; I run and automate them. I built a containerized Rust dedicated server setup using Docker, SteamCMD, and Oxide/uMod with C# plugins, automated GitHub Actions builds to ghcr.io, and written PowerShell tools (make.ps1) for remote SSH tar-stream deployments, live RCON management, and automated save-game backups on Proxmox and Debian 12.
2. Cloud Administration, Multi-Service Stacks & Database Tuning:
   As Technical Specialist on national border control systems for the Government of Guyana, I operate multi-service Python/Flask stacks on Debian and Proxmox using Nginx, systemd, and TLS. In a recent optimization, I reduced a key operational dashboard from 25 database queries down to 9 and improved response time from 101 seconds to 25 seconds through indexed joins, query merging, caching, and Python aggregation. I also profile .NET web services with Visual Studio Profiler to eliminate connection leaks, and hold Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) alongside MCSA Windows Server and MCTS credentials.
3. NOC Operations & Network Reliability:
   As a CCNA-certified NOC Operator at Novo Communications, I work directly with BGP edge routing, Linux and Windows servers, firewalls, and CDN caching layers. When live services get hit with sudden traffic bursts, I know how to use packet-level tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) to isolate transit issues, DNS problems, and network saturation quickly.
4. Pragmatic Cost Optimization & Recoverable Releases:
   I treat developers as my primary customers. Whether it is speeding up build pipelines by configuring self-hosted runners with local caching, automated release safeguards with canary rollouts and instant rollback, or trimming cloud costs by setting up storage lifecycle rules and automated shutdown schedules for dev machines, I focus on practical changes that actually make a difference.
